Acting like kids again

Acting like kids again

We still refuse to act our ages and grow up, even in retirement that is. As you could probably guess we went back to Disney World again and used more of our annual passes. We did see all four theme parks, including one day where we jumped between three parks in a single day. So in summary, we stayed again at Fort Wilderness Campground so we had the dogs with us:

We spent time just enjoying the Christmas decorations in the parks and at Disney Springs

Of course, the Magic Kingdom was the best decorated of all the properties…

Nighttime is especially magic…

We jumped over to the Grand Floridian hotel to see the gingerbread house

What surprised us was all the decorations at the campground….

Although a cold front came through it still was in the 60’s in the day and the animals enjoyed taking advantage of the warm sun…

The benefits of the annual pass is we never felt like we needed to make full use of the time at the parks, we could slow down and enjoy the season, if a ride was crowed we just moved on and not worrying about missing something.

We did get our exercise over the three full days, averaging over 15,000 steps and about 8 miles of walking each day. It is a great way to spend time with family and enjoy the Christmas season.

  1. I hope the Christmas decorations are still up in January. The photos of everything lit up at night are awesome! You guys have definitely made getting the annual pass worthwhile – which really makes the whole thing a lot more affordable. Looks like a great time!
