Back at this traveling gig
So we left the wee one and her parents in the middle of October and headed south to Lake Norman to visit with Bob and Carol at the best moochdocking spot so far on our travels. I trade off some labor on fixing household items and in return get to plug in and use his electricity and water. We always have a great time and really enjoy the Lake house.
Since Bob’s place is just a days drive from Sarasota, Cathy’s brother Mark and wife Robin came up to spend a few days while on the way back north to Ohio. Of course we did a minor tile repair job and discussed some future flooring options for maybe next year when we both come through the area. Bob has plenty of room to house the hired help…
Next we headed due east into the Mountains right on the NC/Georgia border to catch up with some RV friends at a nice resort where they have a lot. Charlie and Kelly met us while shopping for a new coach, we picked similar models from the same dealer. We have seen each other during some travels but it has been a few years. Luckily they were at their lot where we could get together. The Mountain Falls RV Resort lives up to its name, it is by far the finest RV resort we have stayed at with jaw dropping views and prices to boot. I saw so many $1M-2M dollar RV’s I lost count. The coach houses they have built are equally spectacular. But the visit topped all of that, Kelly is an exquisite cook who fed us two of our favorite meals, Mexican and BBQ. We got to tour the facilities and played dominoes while we caught up with both our busy lives. I cannot thank them enough and hope to see them again soon. Although we had a lot of rain while there, here is the site we rented and some of the views.
Here are just some photo’s of coach houses and how nice the property is.
Kelly is an outstanding photographer and here is one of her pictures from the resort…

We left the rain filled mountains and headed down to Hilton Head, SC at the Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort. Another highly recommended RV resort to spend a few days. Of course it rained the day after we arrived keeping us inside most of the day so I figured I owed everyone and update. So here it is and I will do another update to cover our stay in Hilton Head and the rest of our travels before we settle into our spot for the winter in Saint Augustine.
