So I had a nice visit with my Mom and Sister, we celebrated Mom’s 89th birthday with family, including our kids Jonathan and Erin along with Erin’s husband Alex, Alex and Erin also celebrated their 1 year wedding anniversary so it was a great time in Joshua Tree. So why I was off staying with my Family, Cathy flew to NH to help out her sister Tina afgter surgery for a few weeks and spend time her her dad, Ed….
One of things you have to be flexible on is your plans, things are going to happen around you with family and friends that you want to try and help out. Since we are retired, it is a little easier to say, let’s go here and see what we can do to help out when things happen. Sometimes in the midst of all the beauty, you get thrown for a loop in your plans. We enjoyed 5 nights at Humbug Mountain State park just south of Port Orford, OR. The park had nice sites with real grass all around, a path to a private like, secluded beach with a river flowing into the ocean. What a nice place, Port Orford is very small but had a few places to eat and a nice overlook of the Ocean….
While waiting for service, I got a chance to take the Tiffin Manufacturing plant tour where the Motorhomes are produced. Tiffin has been building RV’s since the early 1970’s, they were a building supply company and got into the RV manufacturing after some of the companies they supplied exited the business. Once you need service or repairs, you can take the RV to a Tiffin dealer or you can make the trip to Red Bay, Alabama where Tiffin’s are manufactured. Quick update is the Service Facility was able to find a 180 degree twist in the hoses, somewhere under the bed. Tiffin was great in getting me piping diagrams to send to the service facility and Tuesday I got the call the Rig was fixed, a total of 6 hours was needed to find the twist @$110/hour…Tiffin will be covering the cost so not a big deal, but next time I might just figure it out and save myself the…
