Lake Havasu State Park

Lake Havasu State Park

After Lost Dutchman we drove over to lake Havasu, a place I have not been in over 40 years, I remember going and seeing the London Bridge back in early 1970’s after it was installed in 1971.  Not much was there and it was a very small sleepy town.  It has grown up and there is a nice state park right on the lake we stayed at.  So here are some of the pictures of our week, we are able to do some tours, do a little bike riding and sit outside, having a fire while watching some gorgeous sunsets…

We rode our bikes down to check out London Bridge, which was relocated piece by piece back in 1970 and reassembled in Lake Havasu.

We took a side trip to Hoover Dam:

Drove back through town of Oatman, Az that has Burro’s running around town

Girl’s playing in the water

checking out the goose poop….

RV Park right on the lake

Nice place to be in the winter months, I bet it gets super loud and crazy in Spring and Summer!  Nice relaxing week now we are off to Joshua Tree, California for 5 weeks visiting family and doing some projects at Mom’s.  We just hit the 3 month point since we left Maryland and have enjoyed every minute, each new vista around the corner.
