life at the beach

life at the beach

After San Diego, we headed a little north of Oceanside, CA to Del MAr Beach on Camp Pendleton, which has RV sites with full hook up right on the beach for around $40 a night.  We set up in the second row for some beach time. We did some sightseeing in Oceanside, walked out on the public pier, walked a little around. We also watch the maries playing in the bay and ocean with their Amphibious Craft.  One night they we doing some operations up the coast which was a little loud until around midnight, but at the price we were paying, no complaints.

Nice wide beach

even Layla found beach life to be relaxing…

Fish and Chips at the Oceanside Harbor

I did have some family items to take care of during the weekend and we are now getting ready to move north to Seal Beach, another Navy installation RV park near Long Beach, CA on Monday.  The dogs are going to stay at Mom’s house for a few days, our plans are to go to Disneyland for two days, then meet to get the dogs before we move again.  Stay tuned, going to be a busy, but fun filled week coming up.

  1. So I assume you have to be military or former military to reserve those sites? Those are incredible…and for $40 per night? Wow. I guess I should have joined the military….

  2. The beach there looks like it used to when we were little and would go spend the day on it. See you had fish and chips with our baby sister sister in Oceanside. Loved the phots…enjoy the upcoming days. Will be watching for more photos.
